When Meghan and Kenny inquired about our photography services for their December wedding, I was excited about a winter wedding! Of course I think weddings can be beautiful in any season, but the winter air just feels clean and refreshing and exhilarating, which makes for a lovely day.
However, we knew it could also mean unpredictable weather with possible freezing temperatures. Sure enough, the high for the day was 41 degrees, and it was drizzling on the way to the bride's getting-ready location. As we were driving, Dustin and I were discussing various options as a backup plan. Thankfully, the drizzle fizzled out by the time we were finished with the bride's getting-ready photos and we were able to go ahead with original plans for the portrait location!
It was so sweet that Kenny requested to take their bridal portraits where they had their first date - along the Ohio River in Covington, Kentucky. He also requested that his first look at Meghan and their private exchange of vows be in front of the Cincinnati skyline and Roebling Bridge. So we started at George Rogers Clark Park in the charming historical district of Covington. (Side note - This park is near and dear to our hearts because we actually lived a couple blocks away when we were first married and frequented the park often. <3 )
The private vows exchange was a beautiful, and emotional, thing! The way they looked at each other saying and receiving vows - there is no denying how much they care about one another. Actually, they had that look for each other throughout the whole day. <3
